Senior General urges trainee officers to improve combat skills

INDIVIDUAL members of defence forces are required to sharpen their capacity and efficiency to make the whole army more effective, said Senior General Min Aung Hlaing. He spoke in a meeting with military officers and other personnel at the Yemon base in Yangon Region yesterday morning.
The commander-in-chief of defence services urged officer trainers to help trainees hone their combat skills, calling for stronger comradeship and better leadership. He added that military personnel are responsible to protect the interests of the public and help them with their difficulties.
After the meeting, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing toured the base’s stadium and encouraged military sports persons to practise harder and bring pride to their base.
After inspecting the construction of a sports ground and stadium, he urged officials to ensure high-quality construction and a timely completion.
In the afternoon, the senior general inspected the air base, the military pharmacy and the officer training school in Hmawbi.
