Senior General Min Aung Hlaing visits Sittwe to help flood victims

Commander-in-Chief of Defense Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing visited Sittwe to help flood victims in Rakhine State yesterday.
At the briefing hall of Regional Command in Sittwe, the Senior General heard reports on relief efforts in MraukU, Kyauktaw, Minbya, Ann and Thandwe Townships where torrential rains caused flooding from 5 to 7 July.
Next, the Senior General gave instructions on disaster preparedness plans.
Then, the Senior General went to a station hospital where he cordially greeted Tatmadawmen and family members who have been receiving treatment and presented gifts to them.
Likewise, the Senior General met with officers and other ranks and their families at Bandoola Hall of Sittwe Station.
Then, the Commander-in-Chief held talks with Rakhine State Chief Minister U Nyi Pu and officials on relief and rehabilitation works for flood victims, citizenship
verification process, immigration matters, border fence and matters related to accommodation and employment for return of local people working in other parts.
