Senior General Min Aung Hlaing meets with Thai military delegation

NO major problems occurred and difficulties were addressed peacefully as the two armed forces of Myanmar and Thailand have been further cementing close relations, said Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing in meeting with a Thai military delegation yesterday.
The Senior General received Lt-Gen Somsak Nilbanjerdkul and his party who attended the 30th Myanmar-Thailand Regional Border Committee meeting hosted by Myanmar at the Zeyarthiri Beikman Hall in Nay Pyi Taw. Cordial discussions were reportedly held on bilateral border issues.
Also present were the Myanmar Military Attaché to Thailand Brig-Gen Chit Swe and Thai Military Attaché Colonel Salawin Uttarak. The meeting took place in Kengtung, Shan State (East) on 21-22 June. Myanmar and Thailand share a 1100-mile border.
