Senior General, Chinese General visit special forces training school

Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and Chinese General Fang Fenghui meet with trainees of the Tatmadaw Advanced Training School in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

COMMANDER-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and General Fang Fenghui, Member of the Central Military Commission of China and Chief of the Joint Staff Department of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army of the People’s Republic of China observed training exercises of special forces at the training grounds of the Tatmadaw Advanced Training School in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.
The head of the Tatmadaw Advanced Training School explained the training programmes for the special forces. Afterwards, special forces trainees demonstrated martial arts skills, parachute simulation training, rescue of hostages, psychological training and other programmes.
The Chinese general noted that the exercises are up to international standards and was proud to see the trainees’ ability to overcome obstacles in a short period. The Chinese general said he believed that the Myanmar Army’s special forces are a reliable force and that these exercises contribute dramatically towards mental acuity. The Chinese general and entourage then visited the National Defence University, where he was greeted by the principal of the university. The principal explained the background history and profile of the Academy with a video clip. The General greeted the trainees and toured the campus of the University.
