THE Nay Pyi Taw Zoological Garden has announced that it will keep seals from Uruguay and that there will be 3-D drawings of the animals in five places within the Yangon Zoological Garden to attract more visitors to Nay Pyi Taw, according to U Tin Mon Hsan, administrator of Yangon Zoological Garden.
We have contacted an artist to draw 3D animals soon at locations within the Yangon Zoological Garden. We have also made agreements with an organisation to buy penguins. The seals will arrive from Uruguay and be housed at the Nay Pyi Taw Zoological Garden, he added.
There are plans to showcase rare animals at the zoo as well as to buy five canoes for joyrides, it is reported. Currently, the Nay Pyi Taw zoo is maintaining rare species of animals through the exchange of animals with foreign zoos. The zoo is home to 1,394 animals, comprising 44 species of mammals, 70 species of birds and 17 species of reptiles.
