Regional TVET Conference 2017 continues

The second day of the Regional Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Conference 2017 was held in Myanmar International Convention Centre II (MICC-II) in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
Discussions in the second day included topics for better TVET personnel in the 21st century, strengthening business connections, policies, rules and regulations the government needs to implement when cooperating with the private sector, improving standards for TVET assessment and collaboration between TVET institutions and companies.
Later in the evening, Union Minister Dr. Myo Thein Gyi from the Ministry for Education gave the closing speech and concluded the Regional TVET Conference 2017.
Afterwards, a press conference for the convention was held. Mr. Thomas Silberhorn, the Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minster for Economic Cooperation and Development, Ms. Ayako Inagaki, Director of Asian Development Bank’s Regional Department for Human and Social Development, Dr. Aye Myint, Director-General of the TVET department and Dr. Gatot Hari Priowirjanto, the Director of SEAMEO answered to questions posed by international and domestic media at the conference. —Myanmar News Agency
