Region govt upgrades local roads in Myeik

THE Taninthayi Region government has provided K4.068 billion for the upgrade of a 6.75-mile asphalt road. Work on the road began last Monday according to the Myeik District Department of Highways.
The upgrade program includes the placing of asphalt concrete on seven local roads.
Region Chief Minister U Myat Ko inspected the placing of asphalt on Palemon-Airport Road on Wednesday and stressed the importance of precision work to construction teams.  The Palemon-Airport Road is being upgraded by engineers and skilled workers from the District Department of Highways.
