THE two Buddha images emerged in a village in Mawlamyainggyun Township in Ayeyawady Region when workers dug the earth for paving at the front of the square on 16 February.
The lying images were found at a shrine near Yazudaing River in Kyaungdaung Village. It is estimated that these images were made of alabaster or hard-paste porcelain, according to a villager.
Currently, locals put the two images for public observation near the shrine.
Since then, the village is always crowded with people from far and near, who pay homage to the images.
