The local property market is expected to bounce back in early 2016, an expert claims
THE future of Myanmar’s real estate market, which has slumped in previous months, will be discussed at a seminar today hosted by the online property trading platform iMyanmarhouse.com.
The seminar will take place at the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI) in Yangon.
Local experts and real estate agent panelists will share their knowledge and experience with seminar attendees.
The property market had enjoyed a boom period since the reform era began in 2011, with real estate prices skyrocketing – particularly in Yangon. However the market started to dip in late 2014.

The cooling of Myanmar’s property market this year will be discussed and analysed, along with pondering its future prospects. Speakers include Sai Khun Naung, managing director of Sai Khun Naung Real Estate Agency, U Myat Thu Win, Managing Director of Shwemintha Real Estate, U Nay Min Thu, MD of iMyanmarhouse.com, Kyi Soe IC and U Tin Maung, managing director of Royal Tun Thitsa Co, who also serves as chairman of Mandalay Real Estate Agent Development Association.
