Rakhine state minister inspects roads and bridges in Maungtaw

Rakhine State Electric Power, Industry and Transportation Minister U Aung Kyaw Zan and party inspected erosion of the river bank in Maungtaw and roads and bridges along Maungtaw-Taungpyoletwe Road yesterday.
In the morning, the state minister inspected the eroded river bank in Kyaingchaung Village before proceeding to the Kyaingchaung-Bandoola road and Watkyein bridges, whose approaches are being washed away.
Later, the minister and party inspected Maungtaw-Taungpyoletwe Road and met with members of the Myo ethnic group to discuss stability in the area.
Afterwards, the minister and party inspected the border bridge between Bangladesh and Myanmar and the erosion of the river bank on the Myanmar side of the Naf River.
In the afternoon, the minister and party arrived at the hydropower station in Kyikanpyin Border Guard Police Command Centre.
The minister also inspected the waterway of the Naf River by boat earlier day.
