Rakhine State Chief Minister U Nyi Pu, along with state ministers, Hluttaw representatives and departmental officials, inspected the development works in Gwa Township yesterday.
The chief minister and his delegation inspected a (3 miles and 6 furlongs) part of Ma Kyae Ngu-Kyauk Chun road (9 miles and 6 furlongs), which was upgraded to a concrete road. The chief minister then gave instructions on road maintenance to meet the set standards and to ensure reliable use by the public.
The chief minister examined a bridge construction site on Ma Kyae Ngu-Kyauk Chun road, where officer Daw Tin Tin Nyo of the No. 8 bridge special team explained the construction process. The Kyauk Chun Bridge, which will connect Rakhine State and Ayeyarwady region, is 200 feet long and 24 feet wide and was allotted Ks800 million, as part of the budget of the rural development department.
The delegation also inspected the completed five-mile laterite road between Pyartaik Village and Dani Village.
In the afternoon, the chief minister inspected the completed concrete roads developed by the Gwa Township Development Committee, U Ottama road segment 1, Gamone Myaing road and Yahaine Kwin-Yahaine Katoe road, and inspected the completed new buildings for Gwe Alae Village Basic Education Post Primary School, Yahaine Kwin Basic Education Primary School and a two-storeyed building of Yahaine Katoe Basic Education High School.
