PUM Netherlands to assist SME development in Myanmar

PUM Netherlands Senior Experts will visit Mandalay for 14 days to develop and advise small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) in order to deal with the difficulties in the manufacturing process, said U Kyaw Soe Naing from Mandalay Region Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MRCCI).
To assist development of SMEs, PUM Netherlands Senior Experts have already signed an MoU with MRCCI, appointing a representative in Mandalay.
The organisation was founded with a total of 3,000 members of across the globe, who provide development assistance to underdeveloped countries.
“They do not lend money. Instead, they will just provide the local SME businessmen with technical assistance. If they find a business promising, this organization will provide a link with foreign companies,” said U Kyaw Soe Naing.
The organisation will assist businessmen who have owned businesses for least three years.
PUM is offering assistance to SMEs focusing on agriculture, foodstuff, jewelry, purified drinking water and the hotel industry in Mandalay. They will provide technical assistance.
The assistance will start in 2017 professional charges will be offered later.
