Ulan Bator, 28 June — At the invitation of President Elbegdorj Tsakhiaof Mongolia, President U Thein Sein and party left Nay Pyi Taw for Mongolia at 12 noon on Sunday.
The president and party were seen off at the airport by Vice Presidents Dr Sai Mauk Kham and U NyanTun, Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, union ministers and officials.
The president was accompanied by Union Ministers U Wunna Maung Lwin, U Ye Htut, Dr Myint Aung, Dr Kan Zaw and U Htay Aung, Sagaing Region Chief Minister U Tha Aye, Lt-Gen Aung Than Htut of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army), Brig-Gen Ko Ko Naing of the Ministry of Defence and member of Nay Pyi Taw Council U Kan Chun. The delegation arrived in Ulan Bator at 7 pm local time.
The president and party were welcomed at Chinggis Khan by Foreign Minister of Mongolia Mr L Purevsuren, Mongolian Ambassador to Myanmar Mr Ch Battumun, Director of Asia, Middle East and Africa Department Mr N Naranbat, Diplomatic Affairs Director Mr D Byambador and officials, before the delegation left for the Best Western Premier Hotel.—MNA
