President U Htin Kyaw met with Chinese Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China Mr. Li Keqiang at the People’s Hall in Beijing yesterday afternoon.
At the meeting, they exchanged views on rapid progress in bilateral friendship since 67 years ago when the two countries established diplomatic relations and discussed maintaining close high-level contacts through exchange of visits at high levels and promoting coordination between the two countries at regional and international levels.
Together with the President at the meeting were Union Ministers U Kyaw Tint Swe, Dr. Than Myint and U Win Khaing, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs U Kyaw Tin, Kyaukphyu Special Economic Zone Management Committee Chairman Dr. Soe Win, Myanmar ambassador to China U Thit Lin Ohn and other officials while Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China Mr. Li Keqiang was accompanied by ministers and top officials. Earlier, the President U Htin Kyaw met with the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress (NPCSC) Mr. Zhang Dejiang in the People’s Hall, Beijing at local standard time 3 p.m.
At the meeting, they discussed issues related to bilateral cooperation and cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries and exchange of experiences.
