President meets UN Secretary- General in Nay Pyi Taw

PRESIDENT U Htin Kyaw met United Nations Secretary-General Mr Ban Ki-moon at his residence in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
At the meeting, Mr Ban Ki-moon expressed his belief that the country’s ongoing 21st Panglong Conference would meet with success, calling for continued cooperation with the United Nations in the human rights issue in accordance with the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development and the persistent efforts for the COP21 agreement on climate change, to which the country is a signatory.
President U Htin Kyaw was accompanied by Union Ministers Thura U Aung Ko, U Thein Swe, U Kyaw Win and Dr Win Myat Aye. UN Secretary General Mr Ban Ki-moon was accompanied by his Special Advisor on Myanmar Mr Vijay Nambiar and officials.
