THE British Council, in cooperation with Premier League, will provide its third stage of coach educator training to local trainers at the end of February in a five-day course.
The Premier Skills programme will be supported by the Myanmar Football Federation.
Jeremy Weeks, head coach of the Premier Skills programme and former head coach during the London Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2012, and Graham Andrew Robinson of the Sunderland AFC Football Club will share their knowledge and experience during the five-day training course.
A total of 12 local basic football trainers across the country were selected to attend the course, which is scheduled to be conducted between 29 February and 4 March at the Youth Training Centre at the Thuwunna Sports Stadium in Thingangyun Township in Yangon and on the Myanmar Football Federation’s turf pitch.
The partnership programme supports the development of community football coaches in Myanmar and develops football-focused English learning materials for teachers and learners of English.
