PRC donates US$300,000 to National Reconciliation and Peace Center

The People’s Republic of China donated US$300,000 to the National Reconciliation and Peace Center, at a ceremony held in Meeting Hall 1 of the Office of the State Counsellor in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
Special Envoy for Asian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China (PRC), Mr. Sun Guoxiang, gave the donation to the National Reconciliation and Peace Center (NRPC) Vice Chairman and Union Minister for the Office of the State Counsellor, U Kyaw Tint Swe. The NRPC Vice Chairman received the Chinese envoy at Meeting Hall 2, State Counsellor’s office, at 11 am yesterday. This was followed by the donation ceremony. At the ceremony, NRPC Vice Chairman U Kyaw Tint Swe delivered the welcoming message, while Mr. Sun Guoxiang spoke about China’s donation to the center. Afterwards, the union minister presented a certificate of honour to Mr. Sun Guoxiang. Also present on the occasion were the Chinese Ambassador Mr. Hong Liang and responsible officials.—MNA (Translated by Thandar Aung)
