THE Sinkaing Township Rural Development Department of Mandalay Region has recently been opening basic pottery courses across the township in order  to provide vocational training  to the community.
A total of four courses were held with 40 trainees in each class. The first course was held for  Nangni (Ta) and  Nangni (Ma) villages.  The second was for Myautinn and Konetha villages and the third  was for Ownletkauk and Kathekon villages. The fourth course was for Thetee, Myetaw and Naypu villages.
Township RDD head Daw Khin Mar San said making clay pots  as a profession for the  villagers  would be efficient  as  the  raw materials needed,   such as sand and specific  mud, were abundant in the area.
