Police security training ahead of general elections

A Security training course will be held in preparation for the upcoming November 8 general election, according to Meiktila township police force commander police Major Maung Shwe. A total of 293 special policemen have already been assigned security duties during the elections.
Scheduled from October 20 to 31, the 11-day course will include basic military training, police manuals, lectures on criminal law and electoral procedures. The middle-school passed special policemen aged between18-45 were recruited for their special police service at their respective native areas. They will be on duty from October 15 to November 13 with a salary of K150,000, the police commander said.
