Pobbathiri Township gets library in rural area

As a gesture of hailing the 67th Anniversary Independence Day, a library identified “Pyinnya Pyokhin” was put into service in Pazunseik Village, Pobbathiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw Council Area, on 30 December.
Member of Nay Pyi Taw Council U Thein Htay and Deputy Director of Nay Pyi Taw Council Area Information and Public Relations Department Daw Thin Thin Zin explained purpose of constructing the library building and advantages of reading.
Officials accepted cash and publications donated by wellwishers and returned certificate of honour.
The deputy director, Township Administrator U Htet Aung Phyo and the library committee chairman formally opened the building. The government allotted K1 million and local people K1.8 million for construction of a 22 feet long and 20 feet wide one-storey building.–Shwe Yeyint
