Pleasure cruise ship arrives at Thilawa port

A PLEASURE cruise ship with 599 crew members and 1,167 passengers on board arranged by Destination Asia Co., Ltd arrived at Thilawa port in Yangon from Hambantata port, Sri Lanka, on Thursday.
Permarent Secretary U Yee Mon from the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism as well as other officials welcomed the guests. Tourists will travel in two groups, one to Bagan and Mandalay region while the other will go toYangon, Bago and Thanhlyin areas. They will continue to Phuket jetty, in Thailand today.
Tourists arrivals to Myanmar by cruise ship have been increasing yearly. In 2015, 26 cruise liners arrived. One cruise liner arrived in January of this year. Seven cruise liners will arrive in February and one cruise liner in March, according to the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism.
