Open Campus event will be held at University of Information technology (UIT)

AN open Campus event will be held from 9am to 3pm on 1 August at the University of Information Technology (UIT), on Thanlwin Road for the development of the ICT sector, it has been learned.
Interested persons can attend to observe project papers made by students, research activities being carried out in cooperation with international organisations and the teaching/ learning methods of UIT.
“Holding of the Open Campus event is aimed at enabling the public and students to know the objectives and purposes of the university, to support the students who have passed the matriculation examination to choose their special disciplines, to enable businesspeople to choose human resources by evaluating the qualities of ICT specialised students, to enable degree holders of ICT university to grasp job opportunities and to expose the event-comers to the teaching/learning methods of the university,” said Dr Swe Zin Hlaing, associate professor of the university.
The university, previously known as the University of Computer Studies (Bahan Campus, was turned into the University of Information Technology in April 2015. Those who score at least 450 marks in the matriculation exam can attend the university. Two hundred students are being admitted annually. —200
