Ninth batch of detained Myanmar workers returns from Malaysia

THE ninth batch of detained Myanmar citizens in Malaysia arrived back to Yangon yesterday via chartered flight.
The return of the group comprising 136 Myanmar citizens was sponsored by Mother Trading and Construction Co Ltd and Miba Gonyi philanthropic association. The two donors also provided K50,000 each to the workers. Meanwhile, International Organization for Migration also provided travel expenses for their return home, clothing and health care to them. According to sources, 1,235 citizens, out of 2,294 who were detained for various reasons in 11 camps in Malaysia, have been brought back home up to date.
