Ngamoeyeik Dam releases no excess water

Nay Pyi Taw, 3 Aug — The water level in Ngamoeyeik Dam in Hlegu Township remains below capacity and there has been no outflow from its spillway or overflow from its embankment, an official said Monday.
As of noon Monday, there were 177,000 acres of water in the dam with a capacity of 180,000 acres. The water level in the dam was 107 feet, 3 feet below the brim.
Ngamoeyeik Dam normally supplies more than 90 million gallons per day to the Yangon Region, including more than 30,000 acres of farmlands in Hlegu, Mingaladon and Dagon Myothit townships.—MNA
