New road to cut travel time for villagers

Nay Pyi Taw Council member U Myint Shwe led an inspection Thursday of a new road under construction in Tatkon Township that promises a faster connection to town for residents of remote Kyeein village. At present, it takes villagers about three days by bullock cart caravan to reach Tatkon.
The 10-mile-long-road is being built at a cost of K522.9 million from the Nay Pyi Taw Council budget.
