THE construction of  65 new houses for the flood-victims of Kyeegone village, Kalay Township, Sagaing Divisional Region are almost complete, according a local official. The villagers’ original houses were  swept away by   erosion and unprecedented flash floods during heavy rains in July and August this year.
Agricultural plots and many homes were inundated and destroyed by the devastating, continuous rains.
