NWEYIT village in Tatkon Township, Nay Pyi Taw Council Area, has renovated its middle school building using funding from the township’s people-centred development Project.
The school building was reopened on 17 October. The cost of the renovation was K17.4 million (US$13,531). A total of 428 students will be able to attend classes in the building during the 2015-2016 academic year.
Moreover, 94 households in Padaukkone village received solar panels for electricity under the project, which is managed by the Rural Development Department under the Ministry of Livestock, Fisheries and Rural Development.
