A study was being carried out into the transformation of the administrative mechanism from top to bottom in the council area, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman Dr Myo Aung said yesterday in a meeting with town elders in Zeyarthiri township.
The chairman described the organisations at the bottom as crucial, stressing the importance of their responsibility to implement the government’s policies.
“No matter how excellent the policies are, they are useless as long as they are laid idle on the table,” he said.
The Nay Pyi Taw Council area comprises eight townships, with officials saying that Zeyarthiri was the sixth township the council has so far studied.
Under the 2008 Constitution, the council area is under the direct administration of the President.
Dr Myo Aung said his council had the responsibility to implement an administrative system that can guarantee full protection of the people.
