Nay Pyi Taw car accident victims get cash assistance

An accident involving a Mandalar Min express bus and a truck carrying workers occured yesterday morning near Dekkhinathiri market, Dekkhinathiri Township, in Nay Pyi Taw council area.
The Mandalar Min express bus 6M/—- driven by San Tun Aung was travelling along Moe Thauk Pan road from south to north toward Dekkhinathiri ward while the Faw truck 7H/—- driven by Shan Lay @ Lwin Moe Hein, aged 26 (father U Chit Oo) of Thirimingalar village, Shwe Ge Inn village tract, Dekkhinathiri township was travelling along Artharwaddy road from east to west ran into each other at the junction of Moe Thauk Pan road and Artharwaddy road and one male and one female on the Faw truck were killed on the spot.
A total of 47 persons were injured in the car accident and were hospitalized in Nay Pyi Taw 1000-bed hospital, Dekkhinathiri 50-bed hospital and Lewe township 100-bed hospital.
Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman Dr. Nay Myo Aung and members of the council visited the families of the two fatal victims and injured victims of the accident in the hospitals and provided cash assistance to them.—District IPRD
