Myanmar, Poland to promote economic ties in agriculture

IN commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Myanmar and Poland, a forum on economic transformation and development was held at the Kandawgyi Palace Hotel in Yangon Region Wednesday.
At the forum, titled “Myanmar-Poland: Economic Transformation and Development—Past, Present and Future”, business professionals discussed the promotion of economic ties and investment opportunities between the two countries, according to U Aung Lin, permanent secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Statistics show that Poland has enjoyed a boosts in its agriculture and productivity and is ranked 20th in the world’s economic index and sixth in Europe.
Mr MiroslawZasada, the charged’affaires of Poland’s representative office in Myanmar, urged Polish business people to invest Myanmar’s agricultural sector.—Myanmar News Agency
