Myanmar and Italy has entered an agreement to cooperate in culture, science and technology in a bid to strengthen ties between the countries.
The signing ceremony took place at the Ministry of Culture in Nay Pyi Taw Wednesday, with Union Minister Thura U Aung Ko and Italian Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni exchanging the agreements after signing them.
The agreement highlighted promotion of language teaching, exchange of scholars, interconnections of universities, and preservation of cultural heritage between the two countries.
