THE Myanmar Geoscience Society (MGS) is planning to build a site for the headquarters of the association in March.
The building will cost around K 700 million, and is expected to be finished within 18 months.
The first ever building
for the Myanmar Geoscience Society will house a museum displaying rare mineral
resources to the public free of charge.
“Training related to geoscience will be conducted at the building,” said Dr Sone Han, Chairman of the committee for construction of the building and an ex-lecturer of the Geology Department at the University of Yangon.
The building will be constructed on a 60ft by 80ft plot at the corner of Bayintnaung Road and Aungchanthar Road in North Dagon Township.— Soe Win (MLA)
