Myanmar delegation joins 39th session of World Heritage Committee

The 39th session of the World Heritage Committee will be held at the World Conference Center Bonn (WCCB), Germany, from 28 June to 8 July.
The session discussed the minutes and decisions of the 38th session held in Qatar in 2014 and the report on world heritage sites approved by the 37th session, the report on conservation of world heritage in danger sites, and proposals to be submitted to the 2015 World Heritage List.
A Myanmar delegation led by Deputy
Minister for Culture Daw Sanda Khin held talks with the Advisory Body of the World Heritage Centre and UNESCO on progress of tasks at ancient Pyu cities after enlisting them into the heritage list, matters related to Bagan and MraukU regions, more technical assistance from Canadian experts for property management plan in ancient Pyu cities, and cooperation of UNESCO in 3 dimension and pilot project.
The deputy minister also met with the leader of cultural heritage management committee of the Republic of Korea to discuss cooperation in development of heritage trusts. She also held a discussion on visitor management plan with experts from Italy.
