BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (06:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the South Bay of Bengal now lies over South Bay and adjoining Central Bay of Bengal. It may further intensified into a depression during next (24)hrs. Weather is partly cloudy over North Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 8th October, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Naypyitaw, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States, scattered in Upper Sagaing, Magway and Bago Regions, Kachin, Chin and Rakhine States, fairly widespread in Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions,  (Northern and Eastern) Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Rakhine State. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (6 – 9) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions and Rakhine State.
