Myanmar-China Ministerial Meeting on Rule of Law, Security Cooperation held

THE fifth Myanmar-China Ministerial Meeting on the Rule of Law and Security Cooperation took place in Nay Pyi Taw on Tuesday.
It was attended by Union Minister for Home Affairs Lt-Gen Kyaw Swe, Chinese Minister of Public Security Mr. Guo Shengkun who is also the Member of the State Council of the PRC, Deputy Minister Maj-Gen Aung Soe, Chinese Vice Ministers, the Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar and high-ranking officials.
During the meeting, the two ministers from Myanmar and China spoke on the occasion and those present held discussions on ongoing bilateral cooperation in border management, ensuring the rule of law for Mekong River, operations against drug trafficking, cybercrimes and human trafficking and counterterrorism measures.
Moreover, matters related to capacity-building programmes for the rule of law and security cooperation and Chinese cooperation in protection and conservation of natural resources were discussed.—Myanmar News Agency
