MPs submit proposals to suspend Amyotha Hluttaw session

amyothaNay Pyi Taw, 18 Aug — The Amyotha Hluttaw accepted proposals Tuesday to discuss suspending the current parliamentary session in order to allow MPs to carry out flood relief works in their constituencies and prepare for the 2015 general election.
U Kyi Tun of Magway Region Constituency No 1 and Dr Win Myint Aung of Sagaing Region Constituency No 4 submitted the urgent proposals at the 74th session of the Upper House. A member of the Bill Committee read out reports on the monogamy and arbitration bills sent back by the Pyithu Hluttaw with amendments and sought approval of the Hluttaw. MNA
