The gracious Commander of Southern Command and officers donated robes, rice, edible oil and medicines to Aggamahaganthavacakapandita Bhaddanta Suriya, the Sayardaw of Kyarnigan Pariyatti Monastery in Taungoo on 2 July.
What was also really nice of them was that they provided healthcare to sick monks who are learning Buddhist Literature at the monastery.
Afterwards, the gracious Commander visited an orphanage on the grounds of the Ahthawka Monastery and handed out even more robes, 10 sacks of rice, bean, and edible oil to the Sayadaw Bhaddanta U Vicitta. The commander also encouraging the mobile medical team to provide medical services to sick orphans.
