Moepwint provides citizenship cards in Myingyan

Under the second Moepwint Special Project, an initiative of the Immigration and National Registration Department of the Ministry of Immigration and Population, 126 citizens including 67 men and 59 women were issued national identity cards at Myingyan town in Mandalay Region on Thursday. The event was held at No 2 Basic Education High School where students and teachers were lectured on the importance of the cards which every adult Myanmar citizen must receive. Local department officials said tours have been made around the township to provide identify cards to adult citizens who do not yet possess one. The project is being conducted with the cooperation of   district and township INRDs and local school teachers.
