MNA launches maiden flight to Singapore


Myanmar National Airlines launched its maiden flight from Yangon to Singapore on Monday, marking the first international service of the state-run airlines in its 23-year history. Union Minister for Transport and for Rail Transportation U Nyan Tun Aung gave a speech at the launch ceremony at Yangon International Airport. The Boeing-737 800 NG left Yangon at 10:30 a.m. and arrived at Changi International Airport in Singapore at 2 p.m. The return flight departed Singapore for Yangon at 5:30 p.m.
