A WORK coordination meeting to hold press conferences of the ministries regarding the new government’s work performance for the first 100 days was held in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
All ministries will collectively hold press conferences on the government’s work performance for the first 100 days at the Ministry of Information, said Union Minister for Information Dr Pe Myint, adding that it is aimed at informing the people including the media of progress made in the 100-day work programmes.
The Union minister revealed a plan for holding monthly press conferences by ministries following the planned press conferences on the government’s first 100-day plan for the people.
He stressed the need for more effort to become a transparent government by improving relationship between the ministries and citizens and the media, highlighting the importance of the role of the ministerial spokespersons in attraction of public interest by informing the people and the media of progress and developments.
Also present at the meeting held at the Ministry of Information were spokespersons from the ministries and government organisations.—Myanmar News Agency
