Mingun, Sagaing Region crowded with tourists

LOCATED on the western bank of the Ayeyawady River, Mingun in Sagaing Region is a popular tourist attractions in Myanmar and receives flocks of tourists ever day.
The region is a historic area boasting the country’s famous Mingun Bell, Giant Lion, Pahtoetawgyi Pagoda and Myatheintan Pagoda.  The majority of foreign visitors prefer traditional paintings and other handmade materials from the region. Among the handmade equipment bamboo hats have proven very popular. The bamboo crafts makers have seen their income double during the high season, a maker said.—Kyemon
