Mid-Year Gem Emporium continues

A total of 1,122 jade lots were offered for sale through the open tender system on the eighth day of the Mid-Year Gem Emporium yesterday in Nay Pyi Taw.
Gem merchants also examined the jade lots to be sold through auction today and tomorrow with the help of emporium officials.
U H La Aung, Minister for Natural Resources and Environment and officials, visited the emporium yesterday.
Yesterday was the last day for gems and jade to be sold through the open tender system. Starting today, the precious stones will be sold through a competitive-bidding system.—Myanmar News AgencyDSC-0435 7
