The Ministry of Information organized a three-day workshop on media relations for the ministerial spokespersons in cooperation with the UNESCO and European Union at its office in Nay Pyi Taw.
The workshop participants have learnt about media relations, management on conflict-sensitive reporting, media interview, press briefing and press conference during the three-day event with the aim of possessing confidence in their relations with the media.
Director U Thein Shwe Win of the Ministry of Labour, Immigration and Population said that the workshop helped participants work effectively with the media.
Col Aye Lwin from the Office of the Chief of Armed Forces Training also expressed his view on the workshop, saying that participants gained an understanding of how to prepare for and deal with the media.
Director U Aung San Win of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture said that the workshop taught the participants how to communicate effectively with the media and dos and don’ts when working with the media.
Assistant Director U Htay Aung of the Supreme Court of the Union expressed his belief that there would be better relations with the media as the workshop equipped the participants with a thorough media relations guide in order to build a win-win relationship with the media.
