Mawlamyine Children’s Literary Festival coming soon

Children’s Literary Festival in Mandalay attracts large number of children and adult

The Children’s Literary Festival, Literature Exhibition and Book Bazaar will be held at Mawlamyine University from 9 am until 5 pm on March 25, 26 and 27.
The Literary Festival is organised by the Ministry for Information, the Ministry for Education and the Mon Region Government, with a vision to sharpen children’s intellect and thinking skills, nurture their creativity, expose them to reading as a contented pastime, and as a fun occasion for children.
The festival will include literature exhibitions and sales of books, 38 recitals, poem recitals, storytelling contests, ad lib contests, colouring contests, paper folding contests, cartoon exhibitions and portrait drawings, painting exhibitions, construction contests, proverb recitals, toy assembly contests, games, literary talks and discussions.
To ensure everyone can happily participate in the literary festival, posters have been set up to inform the public of the event.
The first literary festival was held in Nay Pyi Taw on 5 November 2016 and the second one held in Mandalay from 27 to 29 January 2017.
