Mandalay Region celebrates UN Convention on child rights

Officials give talks on child rights at a ceremony to celebrate the 26th Year Celebration of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child in Mandalay.

A CEREMONY to mark the 26th Year Celebration of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child was held at the youth training school in Mandalay on Friday.
The celebration was organised by the Mandalay Region Child Rights Committee together with Save the Children, World Vision, NCRWG, CFN, Care, TLMM, CCT and Tdhl and the Shwe Min Thar Foundation.
Mandalay Region Minister for Planning and Economics U Aung Zan and officials of NGOs and INGOs attended the ceremony.
Daw Amara San Min
of World Vision spoke on the celebration of CRC Day.
The minister and party met children from the women’s vocational training school, child nursery, school for the deaf children, World Vision’s school for the disabled children, school for the girls and other social organisations.
