The Urban and Housing Development Department has announced the sale of Kyansitmin low-cost housing units, located beside the Kyansitmin Road, near the Yangon-Nyaungdon Road, in Hlinethaya Township in western Yangon Region.
U Sithu Phyo Wai, housing manager, said while construction is currently on, the sale of completed units has been officially launched, with the price of apartments ranging
from K9 million to around K50 million.
The Kyansitmin Housing project is being developed in phases by the Urban and Housing Development Department under the Ministry of Construction. Phase I of the project involves construction of 73 buildings with 3,104 housing units, developed by 11 companies. Phase I is now 70 per cent complete. Phase II of the project will involve construction of 73 buildings with 664 apartment units by 18 companies.
“Application forms for the units are available at the department’s office near the Pansodan flyover. Buyers will have to make a 30-per cent down payment for the apartment. Nineteen buyers have already moved into their apartments,” said U Sithu Phyo Wai.
Earlier, the government had successfully developed the Shwelinban low-cost housing project in the same township to fulfil the housing needs of the people. Buyers opting for units in Shwelinban had been given the option to pay in instalments.
