Lest you lag behind your peers

When we talk about time management, we refer to the management of our events against time. Typically, we feel like buying more time if our plans are behind schedule. All we have is 24 hours a day. We are all born equal but live differently. If there is anything that makes people different from one another in their social status, that thing is nothing but time management.
It is absolutely vital to manage our time if we want to lead a life of quality. How we manage our time decides what the future will have in store for us. Alec Mackenzie states in his classic book on time management titled “The Time Trap” that managing our time effectively requires a distinction between what is important and what is urgent. In addition, experts in the same field have argued that the most important tasks usually are not the most urgent tasks.
It is important to note that change is a constant factor in the world of work today. In the past, a person applying for a driver post did not need any other skill more than a skill of driving well. Nowadays, employers are looking for people with the ability to handle a number of different job functions. In this modern industrial world, a degree can no longer guarantee employment. Graduates are to possess a range of skills applicable in a wide variety of settings.
All things considered, graduates out of work should come to the sense that the time has come for them to equip themselves with the right mix of skills, abilities and personal qualities. Our country, as a developing country, is in desperate need of young people who are adaptable, enterprising, resourceful and dynamic. After all, you are the savior of your own future.
