The Kyaukpadaung Township Rural Development Department is laying gravel on two earthen roads as part of its programme to improve transport infrastructure.
The department has spent K85 million upgrading the 2-mile Kyaukpadaung-Myingyan-Natkanle Road, commencing work in July 2014.
Work to upgrade the 3-mile Kyanay-aing-Kangon Road begins at the end of this month. The department allocated K128 million for road works to link Kyaukpadaung-Myingyan Road.
Recently, Head of Township Rural Development Department Daw Myint Win and officials inspected progress of upgrading tasks on the two roads.
