The tube well provides enough water for people in Nyaungshwe.

A TUBE well being drilled at Nyaung Shwe People’s Hospital struck a water vein yesterday, providing water from a depth of 405 feet.  The tube well is expected to have a production capacity of around 1,700 to 2,000 gallons of water per hour, according to KBZ’s Brighter Future Myanmar Foundation which has been drilling tube wells, maintaining lakes and reservoirs and constructing tanks in water scarcity affected areas nationwide.
The tube well in the hospital, which has brought the number of tube wells successfully drilled the KBZ’s Brighter Future Myanmar Foundation turned to 70, offers a new water source to people in the water scarce area of Nyaung Shwe.
The foundation received an excellence in social responsibility award from the president in 2015 as it has spent more than US$4.5 million on the drilling of 66 tube wells nationwide in addition to the donation of storage tanks. The foundation also received the London-based Euromoney’s Corporate Social Responsibility Award 2015 last year.
