KANBAWZA Bank (KBZ) has won the Bank of the Year in Myanmar 2015, the title is awarded by the Financial Times based in London, England.
KBZ Bank Ltd has won the award consecutively for the last three years.
Bank Chairman U Aung Ko Win accepted the award at the Banker Awards 2015 held at the Hilton London Bank side Hotel in London yesterday evening.
Awards for the best banking services were won by the banks from 152 countries including Lloyds Banking Group in England, ICBC Bank in China, KEN HANA Bank in South Korea, UOB Bank in Singapore, Bangkok Bank in Thailand and the Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group in Japan.
The Financial Times awards the prize based on set criteria against which data concerning banking services collected by reporters and the media are measured.
KBZ Bank was chosen as the winner for its achievements in improving banking services and system efficiency, the establishment of ATM machines and bank branches nationwide, making a large number of loans to businesses, showing higher income and profits, the improvement of calibre of its staff, the use of modern equipment, connectivity with other international banks and being number one on the country’s tax-paying list for four years consecutively.
KBZ Bank also won the Global Award presented by Wells Fargo Bank, based in the USA.
